NEW IKEA HACKS
Just learned it is National Crafting Month LOL and I forgot to buy a card for anyone LOL. Here are some ideas on celebrating! I made these nifty vases using scraps from my remodel and one more green thing they use pop bottles too!

Easy to make, I just cut four pieces of my left over door moulding out of scrap pieces that are to small to use, nail them together with wire brads, then the pop bottles come in to set inside the vases to hold water!

What a busy weekend it was my birthday! My mom invited all my family to come over and look at the new addition I put on my house! WoW! I also thought a great oppurtunity to show of some hacks!

First the Dry bar I promised a while back- very simple hack- I just put two Billy shelves together with two Jarpen Shelves conected with "L" brackets

An old hack- I took an Ikea bookshelf- can't think of the name offhand and built it in to the wall- to show off my china and such.

two Rast bed tables I took and upholstered the tops- make up a nice coffee table

I made the DVD holders by taking three LERBERG dvd holders and connecting them. This set I renoved one of the Lerberg squares to clear the wall heater

Another view of both dvd units

NW FLOWER AND GARDEN SHOW

I went to this years NW FLOWER AND GARDEN SHOW which is held at the Washington State convention center. Got some great ideas for the yard.

I like this pergula to the left, think it would be an easy build and look great in my front yard

This gives a new notion to an outdoor kitchen- a stove outdoors!

What home garden wouldn't have chickens? Hens anyway- Seattle allows you to have 3- Burien doesn't allow them so I have been told

I knew it!

I finally found a product to texture the existing walls after a month of trying every thing - Valspar (Lowes) Sand texture paint. This stuff is thick and you are suppose to use a special roller to put it on, but I   found a regular roller worked best. No more cans of smelly Homax
Easy Touch Spray Texture that clumps up or runs out of air 1/4 of the way through the project, no compressor- just a roller! Took about 1/2 a gallon to do a 30" X 96" wall but it works and looks great! And cost under $15

HOODSPAH - I GOT IT!
Mood:  cheeky

I don't take no for an answer! Lowes tried to tell me I would have to custom order my living room window treatments- To all the non believers at Lowes- Piss Off! The treatments I bought fit just fine - You can take your "Special Orders and stick 'EM" - I just saved $150

16:16:19Recycling project #1- Magazine Bowls and coasters and trivets! While perusing Patricia's A little hut blog,
I found this Magazine Bowl she made from pages of old magazines- A person could make coasters, hot pads using this. Finally, a cool way to get rid of the pesky catalogs that crowd my mail box!

Squeeky wheel gets oiled and I can beat up 24 5-yearolds!
Mood:  happy

Who says the squeeky wheel don't get oiled? I called IKEA customer service and the woman at Ikea assured me the cushions were in today. So I went there on my lunch break and there were 4 cushions there! I bought 3 and the frame and three covers so now i got my Lillberg sofa to go with my Lillberg loveseat very danish odern style and cool. Looks great in the living room. IT is all coming together.Snowed for about an hour before work. Was sure it was gonna be a day out in the cold shoveling goddamn snow. LUckily it just drizzled all night. SOmething I just added: How many five year olds can you lick- I can lick 5- give it a try!
